Get definite replies before you book
Are we actually doing this? Decide before the booking cutoff.
A reply deadline gives everyone the same decision point. It is useful for a restaurant reservation, a day trip or anything that depends on knowing who is definitely coming.
Describe a plan people can answer
Give the occasion, location and proposed date. Use a fixed plan when the time is already known, or Find a time when the crew still needs to choose.
Set Reply by before your real-world cutoff
Leave yourself time to make the reservation or change course. The deadline is displayed in each person's local time. Check it before saving.
Give people a clear request
Share the link and explain what needs deciding. Members receive reminders through their enabled notification channels; anonymous guests are not automatically subscribed to messages.
Make the decision explicitly
At the deadline, Maybe and unanswered member replies become Out, and guest Maybe replies become Out. Existing In replies remain In. Check the crew and time, then confirm, extend the deadline or choose another plan.
Questions before you start
Can someone change a late reply?
A member can extend or remove the deadline to reopen replies. Until then, the closed deadline prevents a Maybe or cleared response from quietly reopening the plan.
Will every guest get a reminder?
No. Replying anonymously does not provide an email address or permission to send messages. Someone who signs in can keep the plan and explicitly choose updates; delivery also follows their notification preferences.
